Vivekananda Service Corps - A Youth Movement

The 'Vivekananda Service Corps' (VSC) stands as a beacon of hope, guided by the profound philosophy of "Service of God in man" - a teaching that flows from the divine insights of Sri Ramakrishna Deva, Sri Ma Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda. At its core, VSC embraces a powerful dual mission encapsulated in two simple yet profound words: "BE & MAKE", and is dedicated to nurture a new generation of youth. This initiative emphasizes a holistic approach to personal development, focusing on key areas that aim to cultivate well-rounded individuals capable of making meaningful contributions to society. By instilling a sense of purpose and service, the Corps prepares participants to engage actively in their communities. Central to the program is the enhancement of mindsets, where participants work on building self-esteem and expanding their vision of self. Physical strength and endurance are also prioritized through activities such as yoga and fitness training. Additionally, the Corps equips youth with essential service capacities, including first aid and disaster management, while also fostering intellectual skills in leadership and communication. Financial self-reliance is addressed through vocational training in VIVEC, ensuring that participants are well-prepared for the challenges of modern life. Through this multi-dimensional personality training, the Vivekananda Service Corps aims to empower youth to embody the spirit of service and leadership, ultimately contributing to the betterment of society.
