Even the least work done for others awakens the power within;
even thinking the least good of others gradually instill into the heart strength of a lion. |

Shri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Rajkot has taken up a project to serve the widows and the destitute on regular basis as a part of its rural development activities. The idea is to provide bare minimum needs of life to the very poor destitute and parents who are in distress being completely neglected by their children and society and do not have any means for their livelihood.
The service is being carried out through our centres at Upleta, Junagadh, Adipur, Bhuj & Rajkot etc. mainly in Saurashtra & Kutch spread over a distance of more than 400 kms. The beneficiaries are selected under the supervision of the monks of the Ashrama. They either come to the respective center or the volunteers go to their doorsteps to hand over the kit to the doors of such people who are not in a position to move from their homes. The kit is being given every month. |
