Bel Tree, Shihar
One day while returning to Jayrambati from Shihar Shyamasundari
Devi (Sarada’s mother) felt the call of nature and sat
under Bilwa Tree. Suddenly she heard a jingling sound and
saw a beautiful little girl of five or six, dressed in a red
cloth, coming down from the tree and clasping her neck from
behind said, “Mother, I have come to your house.”
At once she fell in to a swoon and felt that the girl entered
in to her womb. This is how Holy Mother Sarada Devi was born. |

house
The ancestral house of Bhanu Pisi stood very near the Matri-Mandir

Herself. In younger days Holy Mother often visited her for
peace and solace when the villagers rumoured Sri Ramkrishna
as her lunatic husband. |
